We are the Future Council, a globally connected community of young people aged 9 to 16. We are frustrated by the lack of action from current leadership, and need our voices to be heard. We are a child-led organisation but understand that in order to make change, we need to work with adults. We're here to design our future and we're doing it with creativity, courage, and lots of fun.
At a global level, the Future Council works with businesses and industry to co-design real, sustainable products and find real, sustainable solutions. We are researchers, designers, and advisors.
We are clear about who we are and what we stand for. We will not be used for media stunts, marketing spin, or greenwashing. We won’t be adult-washed, and we don’t accept money unless there’s honesty and a visible commitment to change. Every business that wants to work with us must be ready to sit with us, learn from us, and take meaningful action. We believe in respectful dialogue, but our trust must be earned, not bought.
The funds we generate go straight to repairing nature, directed by the council members themselves.
In schools, homes, and communities across the world, children are forming their own Future Councils, inspired through a shared purpose and driven to make change happen at a local and global level.
Our power is in our refreshing ideas, our integrity, our morality and our unity. Whether we are educated at home or in classrooms, in cities or rural villages, we work as one global council, guided by fairness, safety, and joy.
This is our time. This is our future. This is our council.
